To address the challenges and opportunities presented by the year 2020, the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association and the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation came together over the summer to celebrate wine country and fundraise for local school meal programs.

On Friday, May 22, 2020, volunteers from WFAE distributed 1,200 art supply kits to children in Livermore so that they can do art at home during the Bay Area shelter-in-place order. We distributed the art supply kits during the school meal distribution program at four Livermore Valley schools: Christensen, Junction Avenue, Marilyn Avenue and East Avenue.

The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation and the Wente Foundation for Arts Education presented checks to the beneficiaries of the 2019 Livermore Valley Wine Auction at a special reception at Murrieta’s Well Winery on January 15, 2020.

WFAE is pleased to share that we have donated $750,000 to local arts education programs since 2014. We have donated instruments and band supplies, provided music lessons and arts lessons, supported music assemblies and dance programs, funded professional development about arts education for teachers, and provided educational technology for our region’s schools.
