WFAE was pleased to give a check for $50,000 to the Livermore Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) board of education at their meeting on September 15. The purpose of the grant is to purchase technology for distance learning. During this extended shelter-in-place, access to reliable, up-to-date technology has been a challenge for both students and teachers. The Livermore school district, with the support of the Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF) has a goal of raising $1 million for technology for distance learning. Some of the key items that students and teachers need are monitors, webcams, updated laptops for teachers, Chromebooks for students, headphones, and wifi support. WFAE is glad to be able to help with this effort, and welcomes additional donations to support our local students. Please visit the Donate page to make a donation.
