The Wente Foundation for Arts Education thanks Chevron for their generous donation of $5,000 to support local arts education programs. Chevron is adding $2,500 to the winning bid at two of the auctions that are conducted before each of the summer Concerts at Wente Vineyards. At each concert throughout the summer season, the winery auctions a large format bottle of wine, signed by the artist who is performing that evening. Each concert auction raises thousands of dollars for the Wente Foundation. We appreciate Chevron’s generous support of this program.
This October, community members in Alameda and Contra Costa counties have a unique opportunity to help support public education in local schools through Chevron’s Fuel Your School program, an innovative collaboration between Chevron and DonorsChoose.org. Fuel Your School will to help fund eligible classroom project requests, submitted by teachers who don’t have the necessary resources for their students. Last year, Chevron donated one dollar, for a total of one million dollars, to help fund eligible classroom projects when consumers purchased 8 or more gallons of fuel at participating Chevron and Texaco stations in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
